Overall this entire region has a population of about 850,000. This makes the overall population density about 15,000 per square mile. Overall the densest part of this part of the city is Koreatown. About 80% of the population of central Los Angeles list in rental units. The breakdown of the population of this area is about 46% Latino, about a quarter white, about 16% Asian, and about 8% black. Overall this area is growing quite rapidly and is one of the most popular parts of the city. Central Los Angeles is also home to many cultural aspects of the city itself.
